I have been thinking about the opportunities in Georgia for fly fishing. I may be a little bit biased but Georgia offers the fly angler a huge variety that I think one would be hard pressed to top. Starting at the Georgia coast we have approximately 100 miles of coastline that is stacked with redfish, spotted sea trout, tarpon etc. Moving inland we have numerous world class bass lakes and rivers that have an abundance of bass, bream, and crappie. The Chattahoochee river that flows through Atlanta is an incredible trout fishery flowing through a metropolitan city. The Georgia has over 4000 miles of trout streams most of which are located in the northern 3rd of the state. To say the least someone could could spend a lifetime just fly fishing in Georgia.
